Is it the beer?

I feel 16 again.

What a great day to be a football fan. My team killed and the Colts-Pats was one of the best playoff games in recent history.

During Chicago's 39-14 win over the Saints today, I started out drinking some Goose Island, Chicago's finest beer. The Bears went up 16-0. Around that time, I switched to this blueberry wheat ale I had in my fridge. Tasty, but not what one would call a very manly football beer.

I drank the first one, and the Saints drove down the field to make it 16-7 before halftime.

I drank the second one, and the Saints scored again on an incredible reception by Reggie Bush.

"I think my beer jinxed the Bears," I said to my friend Bob.

"You're drinking blueberry beer during a football game?" he asked. "What are you thinking?"

"You're right," I said. "I better switch back to the Goose Island."

I did, and the Bears promptly scored a safety and eventually added three more touchdowns. "I think it was my beer," I said. "I almost killed my team's mojo with my fruity wheat beer."

I will be drinking Goose Island exclusively during the Super Bowl. I will also a) not shave, as I did not today, and b) wear the same Bears hoodie that I wore today. I just can't take any chances.

Yes, I need professional help.

Yes, Yes it was your beer. I wondered why they stopped at 16, and now I know.

I thought about you yesterday, Brando! I'm glad Da Bears won!

My daughter would have come over and kicked your ass, if you hadn't stopped drinking the fruity beer. I'm glad we were able to avoid that unpleasantness. It was weird enough when she started chanting "Da Bears" and dancing around the living room when it was clear The Bears were going to the Super Bowl.

You are so lucky you have such an understanding wife.

We thought of you yesterday--mostly wishing (and how selfish we are!) that we were stretched out on your big comfy couch watching your impressive television set and eating those meatballs tlb makes so well, drinking beer and watching football. Instead, I watched most of the game from a treadmill at the gym.

It was TLB's awesome cheese dip and some buffalo wings yesterday. And some spinach and artichoke dip, but after my experience with the blueberry beer, I stayed away from that.

I was actually pretty bearable (no pun intended) for all of about 20 minutes of the game. I was admittedly a bit testy after the Reggie Bush TD made it 16-14.

Churlita, you need to get the girls to work some jazz hands to the Super Bowl Shuffle.

Wow. The Patriots must be one of the least-loved teams ever... Nobody likes them!

You better hope UC doesn't bring his potty mouth over here. He was not pleased about the games last night.

I think he and PP may have committed a double-ender because UC looked pretty bad when I say him this AM. Since then, the duo have been nowhere to be found...
