We are no longer the Knights Who Say TBD

We are the parents who say...please welcome our daughter Elizabeth Adele, aka Libby.

Like we always do, she squeaked in under her deadline, making her debut just as the last rays of daylight clung to June 23.

Details and pics to come later, sleep to come now. And let the gender prediction gloating begin.

Also, my apologies to Illiterati readers -- the hospital is blocking me from logging into Typepad, so I couldn't put a notice on TLB's blog.

Update: here's out little girl peeking out at the world--

Congratulations! Terrific name. I know only wonderful Elizabeths and this ensures the streak continues.

So happy everyone is healthy and safe. It's been a long road for you here, and now you're getting on a newer, funner, more sleep-deprived road.

Libby shares a birthday with June Carter Cash, Frances MacDormand, Joss Whedon, and Glenn Danzig. They're in good company.

Congratulations! We are looking forward to seeing pictures of your bundle of joy.

And gloating indeed -- AG said that was no pee pee on the ultrasound, TLB. :)

I am really happy for you and TLB!

Grendel said...

What great, great news! Wow. Congrats to you both. And congrats to Libby for hitting the parental jackpot.

Woo-HOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Congratulations! I hope all of you (especially mother and sweet babe) are resting well.

Brando- have your feet touched the ground yet? I bet not. :)

Congratulations, you three! Rest up (as best you can with a newborn). I can't wait to talk to you about sweet Libby - who, by the way, you can still call the Libbinator!

Oh yeah, and Halley called last night and left me a message that the baby was born and everybody's doing OK, but never said whether it was a boy or girl! I'm glad you have a blog to refer to for these minor details!

Susan said...

Congrats! I'm so happy for the both of you.

Yaaay, Libby!! Can't wait to meet the wee one. Congrats to both of you. We love you; take care of yourselves and enjoy holding little Libby. You can't spoil a baby!

Today is the first day of the rest of her life.

Congratulations! She'll be a stranger to you for, like, a second, and then you'll wonder how you ever could have not known her. (If that makes any sense.)

BIG congrats to you both!!! Remember: the swaddle is magic. -Jason, Kelly, and Gabriel Zech

woot! I'm pretty damn excited for you. Looking forward to seeing piccy and hearing all the details....

As to gender, I'm like stephen Colbert; I don't see gender.

Which has led to some pretty tense situations in bars, let me tell you.

But it also means I'm just as happy for you either way, cuz it really don't matter. Still your child

And Montana, I will be thinging about the babe all during Summerfest. HAH!

Von said...

Thanks everyone. It was a fun day today. TLB is recovering well and Libby is just a spectacular addition to our lives. She's so sweet and already throwing off smiles (even though we know those are involuntary, they still rock).

I hope to post some pictures tomorrow or Thursday.

What a sweet looking baby girl. She looks like she's all ready to play some video games and watch the Cubs.

Mandos said...

She looks nonplussed. "THESE are my parents? Sheesh!"

She looks more like:

You take a photo of me again Pops, and I break that camera when I get enough strength.

What a cutie!

Aww, she's adorable! Looks like she's listening very attentively to all the advice and wisdom from Mommy and Daddy. Obviously brilliant.

She's super cute, so she's clearly getting her looks from mommy.

almostinfamous said...

libby looks great! however, the look suggests that she is not pleased with your subjecting her to intense pulses of light

fish said...

I didn't know you guys were having a baby!

Adorable Girlfriend said...

So, they like have a baby and then never post again. Man.

What's that about?!

Brando said...

I know, I know AG. We've had baby and company and lack of sleep, but I'll be back today.

Distributorcap said...

wow is she cute and adorable

Pop said...

Congratulations! I've been silently following your baby journey for a while. I know what it feels like when it takes longer than expected to have a child. All the worry, concern and hope is totally worth it in the end.
