Name my child and win a prize*

I am crazy busy with work this week and have haven't had time to read blogs, let alone write on mine. However, The Lovely Becky has a contest for naming our forthcoming offspring, TBD. I want to give our child a good, Christian name. For instance, if we have a boy, I want to name him Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians. TLB isn't so hot on that, so much so that she's willing to let people looking for "dry humping jerk pants" name the child instead.

Random 11 may have to be postponed tomorrow but I will try to post if I can.

*Contest owners reserve right to define "win" and "prize."

My step-Grandfather's name was Valentine - which I always though had a certain last-generation romantic character to it.

Mrs. Pilgrim didn't want our son to be fighting about his name all the time though.

My great-grandmother's name was Walburga.

True story.

Carlos Wolfgang Wong ( Brando/TLB _name)

Seems like a good All-American(s) name. ;D
( Who says you have stop at three names ?)

kathleen, used to have a neighbor named Aquanetta ( What must her mother's state of mind have been? ;D)

We had an Aquanetta apply at our university. We also had a girl who's first name was Farrah and middle name was Fawcett. Maybe you could name your child after your favorite celbrity who no one will remember by the time they turn 20.

I still vote for Liberal Fascist. If not that, they how about lemangello.

Kathleen! Had your grandmother been more of an entrepreneur, we'd all be shopping at Walburgs right now and not Wal-Marts!

There is someone graduating from my department whose first name is tuba. Seriously. I say jump on the bandwagon and take Clarinet before everyone else does.

You know, this blog might get more visits if you posted some amusing cat pictures. Maybe every Thursday.

LOL @ fish.

Maybe that could be your beebee's name: Catblogging

Thank you all for playing. I think I may just go the Atrios route and start posting open threads -- the posts write themselves!

Also, there will be no extra cat blogging on this blog. I come to cyberspace to escape being surrounded by cute pussy. Wait, that didn't come out right....

If you're going to go the Bible AND blog route, no name shouts out New Testament like "pop-up ad". You could smoosh it together Pupupad and get extra financial aid money for college by telling everyone he's Native Alaskan.

Blue Gal, I like the way you think.
