Attention Boston peeps

The Lovely Becky and I will be in your town this weekend for the Hemingway Foundation/PEN Award cermony. The event is on Sunday, April 1, 3:00 p.m. at the JFK Presidential Library and Museum. If you feel like coming out, the ceremony's open to the public (you do need to call 617-514-1643 to reserve a seat). TLB's not reading, but I might grab the mic and reprise my "Voices Carry" performance.

If you do attend and want to know what I look like, first locate TLB:

Look for a devilishly handsome man on her left arm. I'm the guy on her right.
(And sorry for the short notice, the date completely crept up on me.)

The lovely Becky, is truly lovely. No offense, but I have a feeling you won't get the attention you deserve standing next to her.

Yea TLB!

Have a great time! That sounds like an awesome thing to do.

Take a look at those Hemingway/Deitrich letters while you're there. I just saw a news story the other night on them and I've tried to find them online, but Teh Google was no help!

Can't wait to hear about the trip.

Have fun!

Have a great time! I can't believe that I'm leaving in two minutes for the airport and won't be able to see you guys this weekend. Oh well. My loss.

Crap!!! We totally would come because we absolutely love JFK museum even if it is in the ghetto.

You should have let us know sooner because you could have our MFA passes for the weekend. And friends of our would have been able to go to see Becky receive the award.

Damn, damn, damn!

Couple of things to know:

The mbTa runs from the airport. Try to get a CharlieCard if you don't get a visitor T pass because it's cheaper.

Brookline has the best Asian restaurants. If you guys want to have some good stuff go to Dok Bua on Harvard Ave or Rod Dee. Both can be found by taking the Green Line and either getting off at Coolidge Corner for Dok or the next stop for Rod Dee.

Amazing and cheap BBQ can be found at Linwood in the Fenway near Fenway Park.

If you want to treat yourselves: Abe's and Lou's on Boylston and walk through the shopping area at the Prudential. It's a beautiful park of the city.

At the very least, be sure to stroll through the Commons. You must see the Make Way for Ducklings on the corner. They are sooo cute!!!!

Please try to sample some pastries in the North End at LuLu's or Modern Pastry. Do Not, I repeat, Do Not go to that crap place Mike's!!! Also, the best pizza is at Pizzeria Regina in the North End.

Man, you guys so could have come up to the Northshore and had some lobster at AG's!

Too bad y'all didn't give us a heads up on this one (although, I imagine you might have simply been wishing to avoid the screaming, and by screaming, I mean me, not Mary Frances).

It would have been cool to see y'all (although I haven't seen anyone socially for something like 9 months, so I might not have been the best company).

Hope it was fun, and congrats again.

Sorry we missed the Boston folks, and that we didn't give you a heads-up, El Gordo. Things have been crazy busy and it just totally slipped.

We were pretty tied up with festivities all weekend and didn't get to do much sightseeing, but we did go to a very good Middle Eastern place for dinner in/near Beacon Hill. The name escapes me at the moment. And the JFK Library was very cool.

Hope you guys had a great time. Hopefully you didn't get snowed on.

Was the restaurant La La Rokh?

UC, that's the one. Have you been there? We really liked it. I had some delicious swordfish there.
