Stay classy, teabaggers

Conservatives love to talk about how civil and polite they are compared to mean, unhinged liberals. Last night, here's what uberbagger Erick Erickson of Red State had to say about Scott "Cosmo" Brown winning the Massachusetts seat:

Here's what he said:
"The irony here though is that Obama's unicorn of hope and change is dying under Ted Kennedy. If Ted Kennedy had decided to resign or retire when he found out just how bad his health was instead of wanting to be a martyr for the cause, the Democrats wouldn't be in this position."

It takes a special kind of asshole to not only piss on another man's grave, but dig the corpse up first before pissing on it.

I will take the high road, however, and just say that I hope Erick Erickson suffocates under an avalanche of donkey dicks. And, whoever runs the Chamber of Ironic Punishments in Hell, feel free to use that one when Erick shows up.

the reality is that the Dems did not lose their 60 seat majority, becasue they never had one. Not when you have to deal with choads like Lieberman or Nelson.

An unacknowledged truth is the there is a structural difference in the parties. while the reps like to talk about their Big Tent, it's a farce; they know their strength is in unity, and always has been since they cobbled together their Frankenstein's monster of bigots, greedheads, and religious whackaloons. If they don't all point in the same direction, they fragment.

which is the reality for the Dems. They actually do have a wide range of ideologies in the Party, and since most of them are primarily concerned with their own power and ego, it is easy to peel off any number of right leaning Dems. all that is needed is for Drudge to put out the call to kick some hippies, and progressive ideas go down like.... well, I am sure Brando can come up with an hilarious illustration of something that goes down fast and hard.

wasn't it Will Rogers who said "I don't belong to an organized political party. I am a Democrat" will Durst says getting the Democrats organized is like herding cats, and he's been saying that since the First PresBush. They have been this way for a long time.

Coakley's loss is a fuck up. By the DNC and the upper echelons, who take the hippies for granted, and assumed their corporate-based wonkery would be enough. It wasn't, but it's not the crippling blow that is being portrayed by the "Liberal Media" and Wanker like Erickson.

Erickson is one of the worst, because I think he really believes all the shit he spews. I think Beck truly is a bit of a loon, and Limbaugh, while vile, is also very calculating and says a lot of things to get attention. Erickson is cut from the Hannity cloth of being a truly vile individual who would kick a puppy down a flight of stairs if he thought it would advance his political agenda. He could have easily made a point about Kennedy retiring without the cheap armchair psychoanalysis, but everything about him is cheap, petty, and malicious.

The Erickson quote is two Umms and an also from being word salad.

Irony? Martyr? Be In this position?

All of those phrases are meaningless the way he spouts them.

Irony would be erick erickson being kicked in the teeth, and his dental plan not covering it. Irony would be if he was killed in a traffic accident while he was on his way to enlist. He would be a martyr if he was killed trying to fight a war.

And "In this position?" What, you mean still firmly in control of all the White House, the Senate, and the House? With Republicans at the lowest approval ratings of any political entity short of George Bush or dick Cheney?

I can haz lucrative pundit job now? Or at least can one of these undeservingly rich assholes fucking hire me to over-design their overgrown mcMansion?

Erick should've paid attention in English class, instead of cribbing his understanding of irony from Alanis.

Isn't it ironic.

Kathleen, that's good advice he just won't take.

Is it me or did every asshat come out of the foxholes yesterday? It was as though they were jockeying for some sort of Darwin Award.

Definitely not your imagination, AG. At this point I wish the November elections were already here so we could assess the damage instead of having to hear What It Means for Obama for the next 10 goddamned months.

but at least the democrats are punting on first and ten.

I did have to laugh at Beck turning on Brown. They're starting to eat their own.

The results will, without a doubt, be Good News for Republicans
